Linen, warm timber, cool stone: the materials behind the Auréa state of mind.
Start with how a room should feel
Before choosing a colour or a chair, we imagined the feeling of arriving after a long journey. There should be somewhere to put a bag, a place to sit, and a view that asks nothing of you.
This emotional brief guides the fictional Auréa interiors. The room is not a collection of objects; it is a sequence of small comforts.
Let materials do the talking
Stone feels cool beneath bare feet. Linen catches light unevenly. Timber becomes more interesting when its grain is allowed to show. These qualities bring depth without visual noise.
A restrained palette makes texture more noticeable. Cream, olive, sand and brass work together because they share warmth while offering enough contrast.
Create a conversation with outdoors
A terrace becomes part of a room when the threshold is easy and the seating feels equally considered on both sides. Shade is as important as sunlight.
Our concept suites use this relationship as their organising idea: an interior that opens naturally into somewhere slower.
Keep the useful details close
A beautiful room must also work. Reading lights should be easy to reach, surfaces should hold the things guests carry, and privacy should be simple to control.
The most convincing luxury is often the absence of friction. When those decisions have been considered, attention can return to the moment.
